Lives and works in Berlin

Alida Sun, a leading figure in the FEMGEN movement, combines generative art, projection mapping, and live performance to create immersive works, drawing from influences like Fluxus and indigenous knowledge systems. She views generative art as a form of digital folk art, fostering inclusivity and resisting legacy art-world hierarchies. Her approach highlights the role of code and community in creating sustainable, impactful, and inclusive art systems, advocating for long-term thinking and collective health in the evolving Web3 space.

Stellaraum

Created for NFT Art Berlin, Stellaraum is a generative art series drawn from years of creating interactive audiovisual installations that explore light, space, club culture, performance, and process. Playful architectural abstractions and light particles bounce around the “Raum” of the sky. Elements in this series also signal homage to Robert Irwin’s Light+Space installation at Kraftwerk Berlin.
