Dianna Molzan is known for exploring the relationship between painting and sculpture through deconstruction and materialization of traditional painting materials and tools. While she is known for her highly critical discourse on conceptual contemporary painting, Molzan is also interested in the history of painting on canvas or linen and how it relates to the ancient tradition of textiles. She is widely recognized for her incredible technique in which she actually de-threads the warp and weave of a canvas to the point where the viewer can see and visualize the individual strings.
