American

diewiththemostlikes is an Indiana based artist and author driven by the same crippling monotony experienced while watching a piss soaked snow mound melt into the pavement at a strip mall parking lot in Northern Indiana. His work was featured in the first ever digital art exhibition at DART in Milan, the Decentralized Art Pavilion at Venice Biennale and Times Square for the Armory Show. He also birthed the first ever fully fuckable flea market at the Glitch Gallery in Marfa Texas.

dying is not enough

"dying is not enough" is a visual approximation of the descent from human to husk. it documents existing in a state of perpetual salvation and slaughter. sometimes both executing concurrently. the distinction between pleasure or pain erodes in the intestines of the involuntary ritual. we relinquish ourselves to an imitation serving platter, satisfied that hands still grope blindly for something to fill their plates.

what remains is a feverish desire to satisfy. by any means necessary. and the diluted version of ourselves that is continually devoured long after the flavor has ceased. and the flogging of that empty flesh into something entertaining enough to warrant lifeless applause from a striped tent.

we'll never fully comprehend what was taken from us. what is still being taken from us. or why even in death, the dander in our keyboards will be used to rebuild strip malls for people to transact in.

some day we'd realize our bones no longer cared to hold our weight, an entire life turning to broth

adoration salvation

eternal life is limply distributed from decaying thumbs of perceived saviors. worship at their sacrificial altar, as formative memories burn in celebration of escape from their prescribed existence. their exhaust providing enough polluted air to fuel you through another day of consumption.

This work belongs to #Dart2121 exhibition. From the 23rd of November 2021 to the 6th of February 2022, Milan - Dart Museum - Permanente di Milano - Wrong Theory
