Ernesto Neto is a conceptual artist who creates large-scale, immersive installations that encourage physical interaction and create a multi-sensory experience. His practice explores the boundaries of physical and social space through his use of organic or tactile materials such as fabric or spices to create his sculptural landscapes. Drawing inspiration from other Brazilian Neo-Concrete artists of the ’60s and ’70s such as Lygia Clark, Neto’s participatory sculptures claim the body as an extension of his artistic site.
