Han

Lives and works in New York, NY

At the core of Han’s work is an exploration of abstract questions surrounding the seen and unseen, with more concrete experiments focused on the concept of a “program” — one that can exist beyond time, space, and ownership. Engaging with the histories of contemporary art, Han proposes the possibility of a “post-internet” world through a minimalist visual language. His body of work addresses both the challenges and possibilities that omnipresent computing has imposed on humanity, touching on the nature of reality and autonomy. Much as celestial bodies exist in space, Ha’s sculptures — crafted entirely from code — exist in a dimension parallel to our world, taking the form of interactive, multidimensional sculptures and self-sustaining programs.

AlgoRhythms

AlgoRhythms by Han x Nicolas Daniel is a generative audio-visual project from the Art Blocks Curated Series 3. Inspired by the concept of music boxes, each piece uniquely blends colors, patterns, and melodies derived from 28 musical scales across various cultures. The algorithm transforms data into dynamic sculptures, where visual design and sound interact harmoniously. With each unique hash, AlgoRhythms celebrates the fusion of generative art, global musical traditions, and the intricate relationship between sight and sound.
