Kelian Massen is an artist and programer with a deep understanding of robotics and coding. Johannes Gees has been active in both digital and physical art since 1999, blending traditional and modern media. Initially a musician, graphic designer, and painter, Gees has focused on hybrid, collaborative art forms inspired by the DADA movement and punk revolution. Together they created kleee02.

Inspired by Swiss artist Paul Klee’s famous quote, “A line is a dot that goes for a walk," kleee02 is one of the earliest series of on-chain generative artworks. Though it is not as well known, it had its smart contract verified in April 2019, the same week as Larva Labs’ Autoglyphs. The project was officially launched on June 3, 2019, with a public laser projection of the first minted NFTs at Johannes’s studio in a park near Zurich, Switzerland. Each piece in the collection is unique in its shape and its colors.
