Laya Mathikshara is a digital artist who currently attends high school. Her creative expression began in traditional art forms, however, she began to explore creative coding during the Covid-19 pandemic. In addition to her work in generative art, she uses 3D and virtual reality programming to explore the interdisciplinary intersection of art, technology, and science.

Santiago Grau is a digital artist who makes work that is both introspective and exploratory. He uses synthetic code languages as his only form of creation, and regards it as a sort of transhumanist poetry, finding the common ground between man and machine.

Mathikshara had admired Santiago’s work on Instagram for a while before reaching out to him on that platform, ultimately leading to their unique collaboration, Cerebellum.
