Themes and Variations

Produced in collaboration with Martin Grasser, Themes and Variations is Molnár's first (and only) on-chain generative art project, and is her personal reflection on her decades of algorithmic art practice in the midst of the NFT boom. This series showcases 500 unique artworks that explore abstract compositions using the letters “N,” “F,” and “T.”

Embracing disorder, Molnár programmed her algorithm to allow the machine to challenge her rules and uncover new creative possibilities. The project’s title echoes the musical variations she still feels connected to, despite having stopped playing the piano at 15.
